At Meaningful Moments in Occupational Therapy we provide Occupational Therapy services within your home to enhance your independence and participation in daily tasks and activities of your choice. We work with the individual client, family members & carers, support workers, service partners including aged care / home care providers, suppliers and builders to support your goals.

Comprehensive assessments and equipment trials for adults only to ensure that the assistive technology is suitable for your needs and goals. We can also assist with the correct set up within your home and ensure adequate education and carer training for safe use.
Examples of assistive technology that we can assist with includes:
Mobility aids: Walking aids, wheelchairs, powered wheelchairs, mobility scooters
Transfer aids including sara steady, hoists
Hygiene aids: Bathroom and toileting equipment
Adjustable beds
Seating: Suitable chairs, electric lift and recliner chairs
Pressure injury management and prevention including cushions and mattresses
Adaptive aids and equipment to help you complete daily tasks such as meal preparation, eating and personal care such as dressing and grooming.

Review of your home environment with recommendations to support the following:
Promoting your confidence and independence in the home
Identifying hazards and potential falls risks
Safety Strategies to reduce your risk of falls

Assessments, measurements and diagrams for minor home modifications. We consider physical, cognitive, and emotional factors that can impact day to day function and how your needs may change in the future. Temporary solutions can also be explored and recommended.

Grab rails
Ramps
Automatic door openers and home automation
Electronic bidets
Stair climbers

Timely and thorough reports that encompass an initial assessment, functional review, appropriate standardised assessments and collateral reports (if additional evidence required). These assessments are invaluable for accessing the NDIS or insurance claims, plan reviews, changes in circumstance, or funding appeals.
